Besides academics, students at IME engage themselves in a number of activities. Sports facilities are provided for Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Lawn tennis, Table tennis etc. Students are encouraged to undertake various social projects, organize various events ranging from cultural to personality development.

The institute has a busy schedule of organizing different programmes in almost each month e.g. Foundation Day, Manthan (Management Fest), E-Kranti (IT Fest), Sports Meet (Twice a Year), Fresher Party, Convocation Day, RUX (Hostellers Get-together), Farewells, Industrial Tours and Seminars on current topics.
